Mênin aeide thea Pêlêiadeo Achilêos
I had my first few classes this morning. My music theory class is in about 20 minutes, which is exciting.
The digest so far:
We sang the first line of the Iliad in the original Greek. Wally's lecture was awesome.
I'm a little conflicted about how I feel about my hum conference. My conference leader, Tamara is new to Reed and a Political Scientist. The group seems to be very articulate and argumentative, though which is good.
I had chem lecture and I can tell already that it is going to be more conceptually based than chemistry in high school. We are starting off with a unit about the stars, and leading into things like global warming and metabolism. I don't think it will be my favorite, but I think it will be okay.
I really like settling into academic life. I will have a lot of work, but hopefully I will enjoy it.
